CORROSION
Copper Corrosion by LPG
ASTM D1838, IP 411, ISO 6251, BS6924, NF M41 007
The TB30 bath is designed to cover the detection of the corrosiveness to copper of liquefied petroleum gases (LPG).
The test involves the immersion of a polished copper strip in approximately 100 ml of sample. the sample is exposed at a temperature of 37.8°C for one hour in a cylinder of suitable work pressure. At the end of this period, the copper strip is removed and rated as one of the four classifications of the ASTM copper corrosion standard.
